What people ask before buying a charcoal grill, and what they ask on the evening they first light it. If yours is missing, email us using the address at the foot of the page.
Choosing
Kettle, portable or offset smoker — which one?
A kettle is the default: round bowl, domed lid, good at both direct searing and indirect roasting, and the easiest to control with vents. A portable is a small kettle for a balcony, a terrace corner or a car boot — less grate area, faster to light. An offset smoker has a side firebox for long low-temperature cooking; it is the most involved to run and the least suited to a quick weeknight. Grate diameter and cooking area are on every product page.
How much grate area do I need?
Work in portions rather than inches. A 14-inch portable comfortably handles food for two or three people. An 18-inch suits four to six. A 22-inch is a family-and-guests grill. Crowding a small grate is what causes food to steam instead of sear.
Is it assembled?
No. Grills arrive flat-packed and you assemble them, using the hardware bag and manual in the carton. Expect 30 to 60 minutes for a kettle with the supplied spanner, longer for an offset smoker. We do not offer an assembly service.
Fuel and first use
Is charcoal included?
No. Charcoal, briquettes, lighter cubes and fluid are not supplied and we do not ship them — freight networks will not carry combustibles with an appliance. Buy fuel locally.
It smells of paint and smokes on the first burn. Is it faulty?
No, that is the high-temperature coating curing. Run the grill empty at high heat for 20 to 30 minutes before you cook on it, as the manual directs, and the smell goes. Light scuffing on leg tubes from flat-pack transit is also normal. What is a fault: chipped or crazed enamel on a visible surface, a dented bowl or lid, a warped grate, or missing hardware.
Can I use it on a balcony or indoors?
Outdoors only, and never in an enclosed space. Charcoal produces carbon monoxide, so a garage, an enclosed balcony or any unventilated area is genuinely dangerous rather than merely inadvisable. Keep the grill clear of walls, awnings and furniture, and check your building’s rules before lighting one on a terrace.
Delivery
What does delivery cost?
Free on orders of ₹2,999 and above. Below that, one flat ₹99 covers the whole order — no oversize, volumetric, stair or remote-area fee.
How long does it take?
Handling is 1 to 3 business days, then freight transit 5 to 12 business days — roughly 5 to 8 business days to metro PIN codes and 7 to 12 business days elsewhere in India. Total from Jaipur, Rajasthan: 6 to 15 business days. Orders confirmed after 3:00 PM IST join the next working day’s queue.
Will they carry it upstairs?
No. Delivery is to your door at ground level, and an adult has to sign for it. Plan for a heavy carton arriving — and please check it for crushing or damp before you sign, because refusing a damaged carton at the door is far simpler than a claim afterwards.
How can I pay?
UPI before dispatch or Cash on Delivery when the carton arrives. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards or PayPal, there is no card form on this site, and we do not offer EMI. Prices are in Indian rupees (INR). For COD, have the amount ready on the day — the freight agent will not wait.
Returns, warranty and care
What is the return window?
7 days from delivery. The grill must be unassembled, never fired, back in its original carton with the hardware bag and invoice. Approved refunds are processed within 12 business days once it reaches us. If something is wrong, stop assembling and tell us — a part-built grill cannot go back in the box.
Is there a warranty?
We offer no six-month or manufacturer’s warranty of our own and we do not claim one. Where the maker provides a warranty, the card in the carton governs it and we will point you to the right service channel. What we cover is condition on arrival: damage, a missing part or the wrong model, reported within 48 hours with the unboxing video.
Will it rust?
Eventually, yes — it is steel that lives outdoors and gets hot. Surface rust, paint discolouration around the vents and grate burn-through after seasons of use are wear, not defects. Empty the ash after every cook (damp ash is what eats a bowl from the inside), brush the grate warm rather than cold, and keep the grill covered and dry between uses. That is most of the maintenance there is.
Can I visit and see one?
No — we are online only, with no showroom or display yard. The registered address is where consignments are dispatched from. That is why grate area, bowl material, vent layout and shipping weight are on every product page.
